For the safety and enjoyment of all our guests, fishing, swimming, and snorkelling are not permitted within the 1770 Marina.

We ask that you respect this rule to maintain a clean and peaceful environment.

However, there are plenty of fantastic fishing spots nearby. Please review the Greenzone maps to discover the best local fishing areas around 1770 and the Southern Great Barrier Reef.

For swimming, there is a beach just around the corner. And for snorkelling, we recommend Lady Musgrave Island!

There are restrictions on vessel use, prohibiting swimming or snorkelling in the access channel to the beach, and banning the lighting of fires on the island, beach, or in the lagoon.
